3rd Annual Fall Hiking Challenge


Get out and explore Wooster Memorial Park this fall with our third annual Fall Hiking Challenge: 
a great way to try out new trails while contributing to the preservation of this great park.

About The Hiking Challenge

Between September 1st and November 30th hike 10 or more miles in Wooster Memorial Park to earn a commemorative hiking pin. 

Hiking challenge is open to all members of Friends of Wooster Memorial Park and their children. Become a member or renew your membership during the spree and your membership will be valid through Dec 2020! Membership to Friends of Wooster Memorial Park helps to keep the park and trails clear and safe, know about special members only events, and be the first to know about all the great things happening in the park.

To Participate

  1. Sign up online at www.friendsofwmp.com

  2. Download participation form and map, or pick up a copy at the Silver Rd. entrance (while supplies last).

  3. Hike at least 10 miles of trails in the park between September 1 and November 30 to receive your prize.

  4. Keep track of your progress on your participation form - use guide on map to calculate miles.

  5. Once you’ve completed a minimum of 10 miles of trails, bring your completed form to any of our great upcoming events.

Get Rewarded

Hike 10 miles or more and become a member to receive your prize.

Each year you participate you'll receive a new hiking pin.

First time hikers to complete their challenge will receive a complimentary hiking staff while supplies last.

To Receive your reward

Bring your completed form to one of our upcoming events:

  • Salamander Hike Sunday, October 6th, 2:00pm

  • Fall Foliage Hike Saturday, October 26th, 2:00pm

  • Night Hike & Campfire - Saturday, November 9th, 7:00pm

Forms cannot be redeemed after December 9, 2019 - Forms must be redeemed in person.



Park closes 30 minutes after sundown.

Dogs must be on leashes.
